December behind the scenes

Think about it, after 3 years of photographing I came up with 12 pictures for this calendar. Statistically, that’s not too awesome. If I was a racehorse you should never bet on me. Most days I’ll go out all and never even take a picture. Some days, It’ll be non-stop clicking. I’m fortunate and never take for granted that being a photographer is a gift from above. I don’t have an 8-5 job, I don’t have a cubicle, I don’t have a boss and I don’t have annoying co-workers. So, I’m ok with not getting a perfect picture every time. December’s picture was taken in the early morning on an overcast misty morning in La Jolla. Since the sky wasn’t kind I started messing around with some long shutter shots. Camera is on a tripod pointed straight down into the ocean. Note: if you’re photographing around the ocean be cautious of the rocks as they’re as slick as Ice! This photograph seems to attract certain individuals such as my yogi and artist friends. People who are at peace with themselves appreciate this picture. In my career I’m at peace so this was the perfect way to end the calendar!  Thank you for listening to my story and thanks to everyone who purchased my 2011 calendar. Namste
